Embroidery For Beginners – Lazy Daisy

Embroidery Lazy Daisy

LAZY DAISY

It also known as detached chain stitch. It  is a looped stitch that can be worked alone or in groups. It is often used to give petal designs and small floral or leaf patterns.

EQUIPMENT : Appropriate fabric (linen, aida cloth, silk, calico, cotton, satin, velvet, dress fabric, etc.),  embroidery string in different/demanded colors, scissors, embroidery needle and embroidery hoop.

1-Attach your fabric into your embroidery hoop. Make sure your fabric is tight inside the hoop and smooth without wrinkles. Tighten the hoop around your fabric if necessary.

2-Draw the lines that you will follow on your embroidery project onto fabric by embroidery pen. These are the centerlines of your floral leaves.

3-Pass your needle from back to front with thread on the start point which is the beginning of one of the lines that you had drawn.
